Materials: Sea salt, Bio resin and Metal.

This project is the result of ongoing experiments exploring materials coming from the marine environment.

When you place an object in a salty aquatic place the salt slowly crystalizes around the object in what appears as magic. The sea salt lamps design was inspired by this incredible natural process.

The lampshades are made in a unique technique using a mixture of sea salt and bio resin. 

In a mold, the salt is slowly absorbed by the bio resin and crystallizes into the delicate and distinctive lampshades, emerging with rough and natural textures. 

When lit, the light glows through the salt creating a soft & ambient light.
